Who Can Compete
In a word, anyone. The HiBots Challenge is aimed
largely at students, as well as industry related businesses. People
belonging to government, organizations they control
or are contracted with, cannot
participate unless they do so autonomously and independently
(meaning, any agreement they have with us is not superceded by any
prior contract they have entered into with their government; nor can
funding or support come from that source with any conditions
whatsoever, presently or in the future. It is highly inappropriate for
government to be in business competing against or directly
controlling the very people they, as servants, aim to serve and
regulate.)
Our technology challenge is open to ALL nations.
Restrictions placed on some countries for political reasons may not
be lifted any time soon. We do not control that, nor do we exclude or discriminate against the
residency of competitors or it could exclude more than 305 million
potentially inspired people, people trapped behind political
boundaries deemed as enemy lines by some; more people than live in
the USA.
International businesses taking
payments are restricted from operating in many of the following countries.
For whatever reasons you do not have or cannot use an international
credit card in
Afghanistan, Angola, Burma,
Cuba, Iran, Iraq,
Liberia, Libya, North Korea, Rwanda, Sierra
Leone, Serbia,
Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda,
Zaire and
Zimbabwe, you may want to consider (non
bank) companies which transfer funds. If entering a team
from any of the nations in red
you may already know that
Money Gram doesn't have
representatives in them.
Western Union doesn't operate in Burma, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Libya,
Somalia or Zaire at this time. So the cheapest option then is to transfer or deposit
money into a bank account linked to CPrize Foundation. Let us know
and we can provide account information. (The monies may not even be
transferred out of the country.) |
